About Us

Americans are living longer than they used to and as they are aging there is need for information to help them age well. Extension's educational programs can offer Oklahoma's older population, and their family caregivers research-based information to help older adults to remain independent: to understand health care benefits, to cope with stresses and burdens of physical declines; and to maintain an active lifestyle with good quality of life.

Focus areas for Education:

  • Aging and the senses
  • Alzheimer's Disease and the Family
  • Co-Residing with Arthritis
  • De-stress the Stressor
  • Life's Memories: Links with the Past
  • Older Adults Can Improve Their Memory
  • The Benefits of Accessible Gardening
  • Turn Holidays Blues to Red and Green Joy
