 March 2, 2017 - Munchies at the Market
Description: Nutrition education and food demonstrations held at the Community Market of Pottawatomie County. Nutrition topics vary by month. Each class will cover a nutrition topic, food safety, cooking technique and recipes. $10.00 donation at the door to cover food cost and support the Food Resource Center. RSVP to the Extension Office by 12:00 the day before scheduled class.

 March 2, 2017 - Ag in the Classroom
Description: Ag in the Classroom lesson is taught for children ages 5 to 8 featuring a Oklahoma grown food. Lessons teach youth about agriculture, gardening, nutrition. Child learn food preparation skills by making a healthy snack. This program is provided for the Library Afterschool Reading Program. Pre-registration is required by call the library at 924-3486.  March 2, 2017 - Arthritis Foundation Walk With Ease
Description: The AF Walk With Ease program information and strategies are based on research and tested programs in exercise science, behavior change, and arthritis management. Groups meet 3 times per week for 6 weeks. Each session lasts about 1 hour. Each session begins with a brief discussion of a topic important to walking or arthritis management. After the discussion, the group will warm up, stretch, walk, cool down and stretch one last time. Walking with a group is fun, and groups often spend additional time socializing.

 March 2, 2017 - Tai chi: Moving for Better Balnace
Description: This is a group fall prevention program that uses a unique combination of eight single forms that are derived from the traditional 24 form Yang-style Tai chi. All forms are arranged in a sequence that progresses from easy to more difficult and can be practiced separately or together.
