Description: Co-Parenting for Resilience: Helping Parents Help their Children. Divorcing and separating couples will benefit by learning techniques to transition into their new "co-parenting" lifestyle and by learning effective strategies to promote their children’s healthy adjustment to their parent’s separation. This class also satisfies the court mandated requirement for divorcing/separating couples and those seeking custody, visitation or paternity of minor children in Oklahoma. Pre-registration required - $30 fee.

Description: Parenting Classes to be held are: 9:00 am to 12:00 noon Active Parenting 1, 2, 3, 4 Parents!, parenting toddlers ages 1-4, the three sessions covers basic developmental stages from ages 1 to 4, methods of bonding, encouragement skills, discipline skills, and more… 1:00 to 4:00 pm Successful Parenting, parenting children ages 5-12 The three sessions covers self-esteem, communication, and discipline. Pre-registration is required by contacting the Bryan County OSU Extension Office at 924-5312 The deadline to sign-up for the parenting classes is set for the Monday before each scheduled parenting class.

 March 8, 2017 - Arthritis Foundation Walk With Ease
Description: The AF Walk With Ease program information and strategies are based on research and tested programs in exercise science, behavior change, and arthritis management. Groups meet 3 times per week for 6 weeks. Each session lasts about 1 hour. Each session begins with a brief discussion of a topic important to walking or arthritis management. After the discussion, the group will warm up, stretch, walk, cool down and stretch one last time. Walking with a group is fun, and groups often spend additional time socializing.

 March 8, 2017 - Healthy Cooking with Diabetes
Description: Healthy Cooking with Diabetes is a 3 week course helping people manage their Type II diabetes through diet and healthy cooking. Each week will cover ways to better manage your diabetes and also demonstrate diabetic friendly recipes and cooking techniques that can help you be more successful in managing blood glucose and A1C levels. This class is intended for anyone diagnosed with Type II, wanting to prevent diabetes, or for caretakers of Type II diabetics. Taught by FCS Educator and Registered Dietitian Amanda Ford.  March 8, 2017 - Tai Chi
Description: Commonly called Tai Chi or Taiji, is an exercise that employs slow intentional movements, breathing techniques, and a rich array of cognitive tools (e.g. focused body awareness, imagery) to strengthen, relax and integrate the body and mind. Tai Chi is practiced for health, personal development and self-defense. The class introduces students to the fundamental principles of Tai Chi, including relaxed and mindful movement, proper structural alignment, and breath awareness. Students learn a foundational set of qigong (chi kung) exercises as well as the core movements from the Tai Chi short form. Students will also learn advanced principles.
