Profile of Expertise:
After
graduating from Texas Woman's University with a Home Economics
Education degree, I joined the Texas Cooperative Extension Service and
discovered the professional work that I really enjoy.
I
worked in Brazoria County with the 4-H program, moved to the Big Bend
area of Texas to develop Family and Consumer Science programs in 5
counties, youth and adult. Then I became the FCS educator in Galveston
County, youth and adult.
After
several years of part time work, I became the Education Director for
the Consumer Credit Counseling Service of the Gulf Coast in Houston,
Texas giving presentations, marketing and managing 15 specialists in
Financial and Money management.
Since
my husband and I relocated to Tulsa I am thrilled to again be on the
Cooperative Extension staff. As Area Coordinator for the Tulsa Unit, I
enjoy partnering with agencies that recommend participants for
nutrition classes and motivating and training the 13 wonderful
NEAs in our unit as well as networking with the entire Extension
staff."
The
following counties are included in the Tulsa Unit: Tulsa,
Rogers, and Wagoner. |
