Recipe for Week of December 9th, 2003

Garden Good Green Beans

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. green beans
  • 1 medium onion - sliced
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablet chicken bouillion
  • 1/4 cup water

Preparation Instructions:

  1. Snip ends of green beans
  2. Half  beans lengthwise, then crosswise
  3. Sautee onion in butter in medium saucepan, until onion is soft
  4. Stir in beans
  5. Toss until shiny moist
  6. Stir in remaining ingredients
  7. Heat to boiling
  8. Cover and cook for 10 minutes
