March 6, 2008 Dear OEAFCS Member, In case you haven’t heard the OEAFCS meeting is almost here The 68th annual OEAFCS meeting will be held April 10-11, 2008 in Oklahoma City. Our conference theme is OAEFCS- Bee… all you can Be. The meeting will be at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Oklahoma City. The address is 1815 S. Meridian, which is off I-40 and then south about 2 miles. The rooms are more like suites and they all have double beds. The cost of the rooms is $114 each night for up to 4 people, plus tax. I suggest that you double up to reduce the cost.. This is the designated conference site so there shouldn’t be any problem with claiming it on your mileage. Reservations can be made by calling 1-405-682-6000, and the reservation deadline is April 4. You will be receiving complementary breakfast buffet tickets. This year we have two tour options… Option One – the Body Exhibit at the Omiplex – this is an outstanding exhibit if you haven’t seen it but it is expensive- $22.50 each. You may want to go the Omniplex website to look at this opportunity. It is a once in a lifetime exhibit. Option Two- Mathis Brothers which will also be good and there is no cost. Friday there will be time for the FEW breakfast, officers will have breakfast with administration, and we will have the business meeting before hosting the Friendship Luncheon. Therefore, registration for our meeting will be $55.00 and is due by April 4, Kristy Spalding, Washita County OSU Extension Office, 125 W. Main, Cordell, Oklahoma 73632. Mark your calendar to attend the 68h Annual Meeting, April 10-11, 2008. We look forward to seeing you in Oklahoma City. Sincerely, Radonna Sawatzky OEAFCS Vice – President
