FINANCE COMMITTEE (DUTIES OF CHAIRMAN):
    *       
Receives all budget requests from the officers and committee chairman.
    *        Prepares a proposed budget for the Association and presents at annual business meeting for approval.
    *        Make recommendations on financial matters of the Association.

PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE:

The Public Affairs Committee is structured into task forces under the Vice President for Public Affairs.

Public Policy Education Task Force

     *         Provides direction and cooperates with other Associations on the Legislative Event.
     *         Serves as a delegate to the Public Issues/Leadership Development Seminar in alternate years. Encourages other
                members to attend at their own expense.         
     *         Keeps Executive Board and members informed concerning legislation relating to Extension Service and Family and
                Consumer Sciences.

Public Relations Task Force

     *        
Prepares and has newsletter printed (2 per year).
     *         Publicize the awards, scholarships and any other awards granted by the Association.
     *         Plan and arrange for news releases and publicity for Annual Meeting with Communications  Office.
     *         Cooperates with the Awards & Recognition Committee on the communication awards judging and planning                  recognition at the Annual Meeting.  
                
Constitution and Handbook Task Force

    *       
Reads and becomes familiar with the Constitution of the Association and the Handbook.
    *        Studies needed change in Constitution to better conform to NEAFCS.
    *        Obtains suggestion for changes from officers, committees, and task forces.
    *        Proposes such change in the Constitution as needed, and meets guidelines for announcing vote.
    *        Keeps handbook current by revisions or additions.
    *        Keeps current the Award Winner's list in Handbook.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE:

The Professional Development Committee is structured into task forces under the Vice President for Professional Development.

Professional Improvement Task Force

    *        
Notify membership of professional improvement opportunities.
    *         Cooperates with the Awards & Recognition Committee on the Professional Improvement Awards judging and                 planning recognition at the Annual Meeting.
    *         Keeps current of in-service training opportunities.
    *         Secures PDU credits for attendance at Annual Meeting.

Convention Task Force

    *       
Makes all contacts with the headquarters hotel for number of rooms for members, room for Association
              headquarters, guest speakers, rooms for meetings, exhibits, registration, and facilities and equipment needed at
              meeting.                    
    *        Selects menus  and determines cost.
    *        Works with Program Task Force in planning, budgeting and meeting needs for Annual Meeting.
    *        Prepares registration forms and gets to Secretary for mailing.
    *        Handles registration before and during meeting - receives registration, prepares tickets, packets and name tags for
              members.
    *        Work with FEW President in reserving meeting space, meals, etc. for their meeting needs.

MEMBER RESOURCES COMMITTEE:

The Members Resource Committee is structured into task forces under the Vice President for Member Resources.

Member Task Force

    *        
Secures the names of those eligible for membership and invites them to join OEAFCS.
    *         Works with the District Directors in recruiting potential members.
    *         Initiates new members at Annual Meeting.
    *         Works with District Directors and Treasurer to develop an accurate membership database. Maintains an accurate
               list of active and honorary members.
    *         Coordinates with the College of Human Environmental Sciences in the selection of student scholarships winners.
    *         Update membership brochure and directory as needed.             

Diversity Task Force

    *        
Continues membership campaign to recruit and involve minorities in OEAFCS.
    *         Encourage active participation and interaction of all members.
    *         Promotes increased visibility and networking among Extension Association and related groups.
    *         Develops recruitment strategies to encourage students to enter the profession of family and consumer sciences and
               related fields.
    *         Continues to research and compile the history of the Oklahoma Negro Home Demonstration Agents Association and
               develops publication resources.
    *         Promote cultural diversity through sessions at Annual Meeting, etc.

Research & Studies Task Force

    *        Promotes interest in research among the membership.
    *        Makes available to members sources of research publications of special interest in family and consumer sciences.
    *        Cooperates with Awards & Recognition Committee on selection and recognition of formal and informal studies at                the Annual Meeting.

AWARDS AND RECOGNITION COMMITTEE:

The Awards and Recognition Committee is structured into task forces under the Vice President for Awards and Recognition.

Sponsorship & Funding Task Force

    *       Investigate and contact potential sponsors for new awards.
    *       Maintain communication with current sponsors.
    *       Maintain a file of potential sponsors for state awards.
    *       Outline award criteria for application and judging criteria for awards unique to the state.
    *       Assist with special recognitions for sponsors.

Assessment Task Force

    *       Evaluate member participation in current awards and recommend changes.
    *       Evaluate current awards for relevance.
    *       Identify and recommend changes in awards to reflect needs of membership.
    *       Review and revise application forms and guidelines.
    *       Assist Vice President for Awards and Recognition with awards judging as needed.

Ceremonies and Recognition Task Force

    *       Works in setting up awards presentation at state meeting.
    *        Assist with production of awards program booklet.
    *        Secures plaques, certificates, etc. for awards presentation.
    *        Make arrangements with Communications Department for publicity, pictures, etc. for annual state meeting.
    *        Facilitates the awards presentation.

NOMINATING COMMITTEE (DUTIES OF CHAIRMAN):

    *      Studies the Constitution and Handbook and becomes familiar with both.   
    *      Works with the District Directors in securing candidates for offices, seeks consent of each nominee before placing
            name on ballot, presents candidate at Annual Meeting.
   *      Prepares ballots for election for Annual Meeting.
   *      Receives and counts ballots at Annual Meeting.
   *      Reports election results back to Annual Meeting.
