September 6-14          American Character Week, The CHARACTER COUNTS! Coalition will coordinate the development and distribution of resources and suggested activities to assure that the celebration of American Character Week is positive, constructive and educational. Everything will be posted at www.charactercounts.org/acw.htm and will be available for you to download and print at no charge.  A library of quotations on character and values is available at www.JosephsonInstitute.org/quotes/guotetoc.htm.

September 19             Dr. David Perry's lecture is FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC (courtesy Bank of Oklahoma).  This lecture will be held at the Myriad (Cox) Convention Center, Ballroom D, starting at 5:30 p.m. in Oklahoma City.  Dr. Perry is a nationally renowned speaker on early child development, the need for early stimulation of children and the neurological impact of neglect and abuse.  When we looked at having him speak for our Child Abuse conference they said, "Sure, for $10,000.00."  That is a little outside our budget. Joyfully, Dr. Perry will be doing a FREE presentation in OKC.
