Dear
Extension Educators:
This Resource Update includes
numerous research abstracts that can be used as references in
developing lessons, news stories or other educational and
informational materials you are preparing. I encourage you to
review each abstract, use those that are pertinent now, and file for
future reference the others according to the Uniform Filing Guide
no. listed in the upper right hand corner of each abstract.
It is this strong and essential link
between research and extension that distinguishes the education
Cooperative Extension provides. Using research as the basis for
Extension education assures that the information we provide is
credible and reliable.
With the overwhelming bombardment of
information facing consumers today, they need more than ever to know
that Cooperative Extension is a reliable source of information
enabling them to make well informed decisions.
If there are topics you would like to
see covered in future abstracts, please let me know.
Sincerely,
Lynda Harriman
Asst.
Director/Associate Dean
