Dear Extension Educators:
We have begun planning for the next
OCES (5) Five-Year program cycle which will officially start July 1,
2004.
Extension is well known for the
grass-roots involvement of citizens to help set program direction
and we will continue the tradition as we begin thinking about future
impact programs. Specialists are currently conducting environmental
scans to identify trends in current research and state/national
data.
The information from the County
Listening Sessions and the Focus Forums will help us further refine
a list of critical issues facing Oklahomans in the coming years. You
can look forward to receiving a list of critical issues for each of
the base program areas during the spring.
You and your potential partners will
have the opportunity and the responsibility to help set program
direction for the next program cycle. The involvement of citizens as
partners in planning and conducting programming is a time-consuming
endeavor but one well worth the time and effort.
Happy Holidays,
Lynda Harriman
Associate Dean/Assistant Director
